MT MERU – REPORT by George and Bornicausen, the Organizers.

George Mosess & Bonicauzen Mrema we organized the trip of three days and two nights to Mt. Meru or Arusha National parks, and by organized this trip we have experience and learn a lot of things.

Actually first we learnt how to handle or take care of people – this is difficult to handle or take care of people but probably we can say we succeeded to it because everyone was happy and enjoyed the trip and our organization.

On our trip we where 10 members. Apart from we leader or organizer the rest of member were their first time to climb the mountain, so it was challenging for we organizer/leader to take care until we where reach our goal to socialist peak.

For example in day two we were going to socialist peak where it reaches 4562.13M above sea level. At 9:40 three members they were said we can’t go “forward” or get “back” As leaders we manage to handle that situation by using Guiding skills which we lent from the School.

After that kind of challenge we succeed to take all them to socialist peak and everyone was happy. Some didn’t believe they will make it.

We leaders enjoyed a lot through that challenge we faced because we know there’s time will be seeing a lot of challenge. So by this experience we will know how to deal with challenges.

MT.MERU 3 DAYS TRIP, by Leonard Kivuyo

The first day we started to climb the mountain it was so funny, it was like we are playing. Then it started to become tough and tough. Thanks God we had very good organizers – Borncauzen and George who really without them I think some of us could not have managed. Esp. the girls, Neema and Bahati – it was so difficult for them because they were really exhausted. It was difficult for them to walk apart from carrying their luggage. George & Boni tired too but they didn’t give up they tried any how to make sure everybody reached the top and we all did. Congratulations George & Borncauzen for a great job.

The Organizers played their part effectively that’s why they brought us all to the summit. I can say that all members of the trip were well organized and everybody played to his/her position effectively that why everybody satisfied from the Organizers George & Born to the rest of the group.

The second day were the day we went to summit really it was the day every body were expected to reach there and everybody in the group did it was the happiest day but it was very tough one we walked at least 6hrs from the Saddle hut to the summit everybody was exhausted totally even our Ranger Bernard Maganga. Then we come back to Saddle hut while we were there and everybody participated doing what he can in order to get dinner.

At night we had a meeting and we discussed about the whole trip and achievement everybody in the group participated in that meeting.

The last day was for descending down from Saddle to the main gate. In the morning everybody was in a harry of coming down! We worked as the team others prepared tea others cleaning and finally at 8:00. am we started our journey down to the Gate. Everyone was energetic. At the gate we were all happy and we were awarded the certificates.

Thanks to everybody for your participation, thanks organizers Born & George for a well organized trip, thanks God for everything.

Thanks to PROTS for allowing us to Organized trips,

Thanks TANAPA for the certificates you gave us.
